Fes to Marrakech 3-day desert tour Itinerary
A Shared 3-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech via the Sahara desert allows you to have an authentic desert experience. The highlight of this 3-day Moroccan desert tour is Camel rides and spending the night in a magnificent desert camp, as well as visiting the most interesting sites in Morocco, such as Azrou’s cedar forest, Todra Gorges, Ait ben Haddou Kasbah, and the High Atlas Mountains
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga
Our Shared Fes to Marrakech 3-day desert tour starts around 8 am. We will cross the cedar forest of Azrou, where we will stop to see and take photos with the monkeys that live there. Next, we will go to Medilt to have lunch. Then we will go to the Ziz Valley where we will make a stop to see the palm grove and the towns that are in this valley. once we arrive at Merzouga, After a cup of tea, we will ride a camel for 1 or 2 hours, to enjoy the impressive view of the sunset over the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. After a delicious dinner, you will have the opportunity to attend a traditional Berber music show while watching the stars impressive Sahara desert. We will spend the night in a traditional nomadic tent.
Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
You must get up early morning to witness the sunrise over the dunes. And after breakfast, We will return to the lodge on camelback or by 4×4, where a refreshing shower awaits us. In Rissani we will get the opportunity to visit the local market and look at some fossils outside the town.
After lunch, we’ll drive down the river to the Todra gorges, where you may enjoy a short but breathtaking stroll between the up to 300-meter-high rock walls. We head to Boumalne Dades before arriving at our Riad for the night in the Dades valley, where you can take some excellent photos of the unique rock formations. Dinner and overnight at a riad in Dades.
Day 3: Dades valley – Ouarzazate – Kasbah ait ben hadou – Marrakech
After breakfast, We will follow the Dades Valley through the Rose valley and the path of a thousand kasbahs. We will visit Ouarzazate and stop for lunch in the village of Ait Benhaddou. We will have time to explore the famous UNESCO protected site, featured in many movies such as Gladiator, Lawrance of Arabia, and many more. Then we will drive through the impressive landscapes of the high atlas arriving in Marrakech around 7 in the afternoon. End of our Fes to Marrakech group tour.

Among other things, we toured typical places, we went through some cooperatives, many photos, we rode dromedaries and we had an incredible night in the camp, alone or accompanied by a great time in a group. Excellent guides, they are handled in different languages, Said drives very well and Hassan is with everything you may need. Respectful, attentive, and kind always. I had a great time on this shared Fes to Marrakech 3-day desert tour. In such a short time, I learned a lot about Moroccan food, culture, and history, and was able to experience the beauty of Morocco's landscapes and people! Our tour guides Hassan and Said were amazing and made the trip even better. My favorite part of the tour was definitely the camel ride and walk in the Sahara desert along with staying at the camp which was lovely! If you are thinking of booking, do it, travel is the master of life!
